Although an NAIA program, Mayville State has a long history of former players going on to to the professional ranks. Guys have gone on to play in leagues in Greece, Mexico, and Germany just to name a few. Given the season that Lindsay had, along with his unique skill set, there is no reason why he shouldn’t be the next one to ink a professional contract.
There are many clubs in Europe who build their entire offense around the stretch 4 position. Big guys who can step out and knock it down are in high demand in the market overseas, and that is exactly what Lindsay brings to the table. He is the type of player who could have far more success in the professional ranks than he did collegiately, and given the fact that he had a pretty nice career at Mayville State, that is quite the thought.
Lindsay is a knock down shooter, who at 6’6″, very rarely has any problems getting his shot off. He can play either the 3 or the 4 positions equally as effectively. In the halfcourt, he is very good at catching it in the midrange and using his size to create a shot for himself. When playing the 4 in transition, he serves as an excellent trailer and will knock down that 3 from the top of the key more times than not. His ability to handle the ball and help his guards bring it up against pressure is also an added bonus, and something that he does very well. Lindsay’s combination of size, shooting, and the ability to put it on the floor are rare, and he uses it to his advantage on the offensive end of the court.
