Lockhart can be a very good player at the next level. He is a magician in pick-and-roll, which is a huge part of the majority of European offenses. He loves to push it in transition, and often times can get all the way to the rim, although he loves to stop in the mid-range and pull up if the defense gives it to him. An added bonus that could help Lockhart overseas as well is that he competed in the LAI conference, which plays by FIBA rules. While many American players usually have to adjust to the different style of play, this won’t be a problem for Lockhart early on. Whichever team picks him up will be happy they did so.
At 6’2″, Lockhart has great size to play the point guard position. He did it all for his school over the past two seasons, being named the team’s MVP in both 2014 and 2015. Lockhart was primarily looked upon to score, and did so in about as efficient of a manner as possible. He averaged over 20 PPG on the season, and hit the 30 point mark on four separate occasions. Throughout the season, he showed he was far more than just a scorer, adding just under 7 boards and 5 assists per contest. On the defensive end of the court, he was always looked upon to shut down the opposing team’s primary perimeter threat. He was a pest, averaging 3.4 SPG, as well as collecting just over a block per contest. Truly an all-around player who helped his team in whatever way he could.
2014-2015 Statistics (University of the Virgin Islands):
